The Discipleship Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and effectiveness of student leaders by providing structured onboarding, ongoing discipleship coordination, and administrative oversight of small group systems. This role ensures that student leaders have community, are connected, and trained to disciple new leaders supporting the overall calendar of discipleship evangelism.

Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the onboarding process for all incoming student leaders, ensuring clarity of expectations, roles, and discipleship goals

Guide student leaders through the discipleship calendar, including key events, rhythms, and milestones

Schedule and coordinate regular discipleship coaching sessions for student leaders

Organize and facilitate leadership discipleship groups, fostering spiritual growth and leadership development

Assist in managing and maintaining the online small group system, including leader assignments, group tracking, and communication updates

Provide ongoing support and communication to student leaders to promote engagement and accountability

Collaborate with leadership team to assess needs, improve systems, and strengthen the discipleship experience
Summer Ignite Responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of the Summer IGNITE program in collaboration with the leadership team

Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training student leaders specifically for IGNITE

Coordinate daily and weekly discipleship rhythms during the program (small groups, devotionals, and leadership check-ins)

Provide direct coaching and spiritual support to student leaders throughout the duration of IGNITE

Help manage program logistics including schedules, attendance tracking, and communication with participants
-
Foster a strong sense of community and engagement among student leaders and participants

Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the IGNITE program and provide recommendations for future improvement

Participate in the discipleship coaching certification training.

- With incoming/prospective leaders: Creates a welcoming, clear onboarding experience that reflects the ministry's warmth and mission from first contact.
- With IGNITE participants: Models pastoral presence — approachable, encouraging, and spiritually attentive during high-intensity summer programming.
- General tone: Warm, relational, and mission-aligned; comfortable holding people accountable without damaging relationship; discreet with sensitive coaching conversations.
Physical demands
