Birthday Concert for Maestro Blomstedt

Enjoy a tribute concert, featuring piano soloist Teona Martiashvili.

The Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Claudio Gonzalez, will perform a birthday tribute concert for Maestro Herbert Blomstedt at 8 pm in the Howard Performing Arts Center.

The orchestra will perform Jubilee by George W. Chadwick, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 in A Minor by Franz Liszt, with piano soloist Teona Martiashvili debuting as faculty performer, and Symphony No. 5 "Reformation" by Felix Mendelssohn.

The concert is free and open to the public. A reception with Maestro Blomstedt will follow.
